Six brilliant female students from local universities in Ho Chi Minh City were presented the Women Game Changers Scholarship in an awards ceremony held at Sparx*’s studio.
On 14 December, Sparx* – A Virtuos Studio held our first Women Game Changers (WGC) Scholarship Award Ceremony, where six brilliant female recipients from the University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City and Ho Chi Minh City University of Fine Arts were presented with the awards by our studio’s managers.
Sparx* received many promising applications for our inaugural WGC scholarship program. Among the candidates, six excellent candidates impressed our evaluators with their passion and outstanding academic performances, as well as their ambitions for their future in the game development industry.

Thanh Nha – Recipient from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City
“As an avid fan since high school, I have always been interested in making games. I am grateful to receive the scholarship that commits to support female students like me to progress further in the digital entertainment industry, from a distinguished studio like Sparx*,” Thanh Nha shared her thoughts with us excitedly upon receiving her WGC scholarship award.
Besides the 10 million VND scholarship to pursue their education, each winner will also be eligible to enroll in Sparx*’s art training program to kick-start their game-changing journeys with us upon graduation.
Bao Tran – Recipient from University of Architecture Ho Chi Minh City
“This scholarship is such a great opportunity for all female students to gain insights into game and animation production. With this scholarship, I will put more effort into enhancing my animation skills and becoming a real game changer in the industry in Vietnam,” Bao Tran shared her goals and dreams with us as she received her award.
WGC is an annual scholarship program initiated by Sparx* in partnership with local art universities and institutions in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. In line with our aim to empower our local communities through education, this program aims to nurture female industry leaders of the future who will make their mark and positively impact the industry, both in Vietnam and globally.
