Last weekend, the Ben Tre Provincial Youth Union’s Standing Committee collaborated with Sparx* and Glass Egg, member studios of Virtuos in Vietnam, to execute the “For One Green Ben Tre” program. The program involved planting 500 golden shower trees along the roadside, aiming to safeguard air traffic infrastructure from landslides, enhance air quality, and contribute towards a greener and cleaner environment.
“This activity serves as a means to foster awareness, instill a sense of responsibility, and promote the proactive engagement of union members and youth. It also plays a vital role in shaping a green and clean environmental landscape,” explained Mr. Phan Van Tre, Deputy Secretary of Ben Tre Province, who also expressed hope that this effort will resonate widely within the community, particularly in Ben Tre, in the times to come.
Representing Sparx*, Tien Le from the Production Department commented, “As a global company, Virtuos places significant emphasis on contributing to the sustainable development of local communities. Environmental protection, with a focus on reduction of greenhouse gases, stands out among Virtuos’ CSR initiatives. The ‘For a Green Ben Tre’ program exemplifies one of the most impactful and inspiring activities, underscoring our dedication to sustainable development goals.”
Nam Pham from Glass Egg studio also shared his own take on the event, “Environmental protection presents a substantial challenge for society as a whole, requiring collective efforts from each individual. Through this program, we aspire to enhance the understanding of the importance of preserving the living environment for the future among young people and Group employees.”
